Established Powys business, Stagecraft Display Ltd, has supported Newtown’s budding entrepreneurs by donating quality display fixtures to a Pop-up Shop on Market Street. The new initiative being launched by Newtown Town Council, aims to support new business ideas by providing a low cost, low risk, retail opportunity to test out products with Newtown customers. Fire-hit Powys factory in rise from the flames

Stagecraft, which makes display units for shops and businesses across the country, was left without a premises when the blaze tore through its factory in Llaithddu, near Newtown last year. But since then the company has won its biggest ever contract from supermarket giant Waitrose and Welsh First Minister Carwyn Jones opened the new factory on the Vastre Enterprise Park yesterday.
