Sustainable wood is key to the success of Stagecraft’s retail display systems
The key to the success of Stagecraft’s retail display in the UK is its use of high quality, sustainable timber.
The company, which designs and manufactures a wide range of retail display systems for the UK and European markets, only uses FSC timber grown in sustainable and monitored woods, predominantly in Wales.
“Our business was established 30 years ago in rural Wales by farmer Tom Davis who was passionate about his business being sustainable and using local products and services wherever possible,” said Mark Williams, Business Development Manager of Stagecraft in Newtown, Powys.
“We continue that ethos and ensure the wood we use in our retail systems is not only the best and most durable, but grown in sustainable and monitored woodlands, the majority of which are here in Wales where we are based.
“Welsh wood has a long tradition for being used by manufacturers thanks to its durability.”
The company can trace the timber back to individual woodlands and producers.
The timber is used for a variety of retail display systems within the garden and horticultural sectors and the company has expanded into new retail markets, with products for drinks and beverages, cards and books, clothing, counters and checkouts, DIY and hardware, gift and homeware and food among others.
